Little Man Myles

One word describes Myles Massey, the little three month old I photographed last night: ADORABLE.
His mom, Katie, is one of my greatest friends. Met her and husband Brian in college. They played a key role in helping me decide how to propose to Megan.

A Day With Cheerleaders

I honestly don't spend the bulk of my time photographing football as some of you might have concluded due to my many football photos. I do photograph other things and other types of people. Traveled to Pittsburg last night to photograph the St. Marys Middle School cheer squad. Fun group of girls!

Away from the Action Part 2

More scenes away from the Chiefs action. Enjoy.

Away from the Action

My favorite part of shooting the Kansas City Chiefs games is probably the chance to photograph fans and cheerleaders. Who cares about the Chefs anyways? Here are a few images I shot Sunday.

Sunday at Arrowhead

The Chiefs got torched. Again. It's abysmal....the end!

Rain rain go away, at least until Monday...

I've had enough football in the rain. As you can read below....I thought my first game today was bad. Was I ever wrong...gee whiz. My night game at Pittsburg State University (the greatest school ever by the way) was horribly wet. It poured the ENTIRE time. No let up at all. This photo is of a Missouri Southern (worst school ever) football pansy getting defended in the end zone. Poor guy never stood a chance.

Saturday in the Rain...BLAH!!!

Rain and football just completely suck. Unless it's a drizzle....then it's okay. But downpours just suck. They make nice photos though!

SMILES

This little guy right here always makes a great photo. He's the 3-year old son of Robyn and Tyler, whom Megan and I think quite a bit of. For those who've been following my blog for awhile you'll notice he's also the same little guy who is on the front of my business card.
We were lucky enough to babysit for the three kids on Monday and I took along my new camera and a lens that I haven't used in at least 3 years. These were two of my faves.

A Wet Day...

Calling the KU v. Louisiana Tech football game a wet one would be an understatement. It rained the ENTIRE game. Didn't stop for a single instant. It was slightly miserable to say the least. Here are a few images.

This is my favorite image of the day. QB Todd Reesing raises his arms to celelbrate a 48yd touchdown after he was leveled by a defender and the wide receiver ran through and around 6 defenders for the score.

Interacting with the public

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is being able to interact with the public, especially high school kids.

High school was one of my favorite times in life and I enjoy the chance to give a little bit of direction when I can to high school aged kids. Since I photograph people of this age at least 60% of the time I thought I'd stick up a recent poster I had a part in. I did all the photos and the lovely Brittany designed it. Every year Fort Scott High School orders 20x30 prints of their senior athletes to display in the gymnasium. This is one of those.

KU v. FIU

Just a few shots from the game Saturday. I shoot again this coming Saturday as well and can't wait!

Make sure and check out the photographer to the left and to the right of #81. Poor guys weren't quite ready! Knowing you missed the shot really sucks...been there way too often.
